SERGIEVKA is a font inspired by the creativity of Soviet utility workers and the spirit of Russian villages. The prototype was the inscription on an old sign that I found last summer in the village of Sergievka, where my grandmother lives. The font is geometric, consists of capital letters, has no ascenders and descenders, no overshoots. However, despite the modernity of its forms, some elements of the font refer to historical writings.

While working on the font I also created an additional thin style with smoothed corners and square terminals that is more archaic and, at the same time, futuristic and experimental.
